Free SLP CEUs You Can Still Finish Before Dec 31
If your ASHA certification maintenance interval ends Dec 31, 2026, you need 30 professional development hours, including 1 in ethics and 2 in cultural and linguistic responsiveness (ASHA calls this Content Area 2), and your Compliance Form is due by Dec 31.

Check your deadline first
Deadlines differ by state. Not every state uses Dec 31.
- Log in to My Account on asha.org and open the Certification Maintenance link to see your interval (per ASHA). Not sure how it works? Check your ASHA interval.
- Ohio SLPs: your state hours are also due Dec 31, 2026. See Ohio SLP CE rules.
- North Carolina SLPs: check if your 3-year CE cycle ends this Dec 31. See North Carolina CE cycles.
- Not Dec 31: Illinois (Oct 31, odd years), Texas and New York (individual dates), Pennsylvania (July 31 of even-numbered years).
